NPS Performing Arts Festival Sponsored by IFS and the NEF
It may have been a little overcast, but the NPS performing arts students still shone brightly! On May 18th the NPS performing arts teachers hosted their annual festival. Performances included choral, orchestra, band, dance, and theater students.

Bresnahan STEM Fair
On May 23rd the Bresnahan School hosted their annual STEM Fair. Thanks to the generous support of the PTO and many parent volunteers, STEM teacher Kristin Spinney hosted a day-long exploration of science and engineering.

Molin Students Celebrate Poetry
Thank you to the PTO for funding a visiting artist and author creativity workshop for our fourth graders. Ron and Amy Schmidt of Loose Leashes shared their creative process by leading the students in an interactive brainstorming and idea-generating session.

Performing Arts Festival May 18!

Cheering tryouts will be held on 6/10, 6/11 & 6/12 at the Middle School at 5:30pm.
The last Poetry Soup of this school year will take place on Wednesday at 7:15 pm in room 118. The guests will be poets Rhina Espaillat and Alfred Nicol along with guitarist John Tavano. The fusion of poetry and music is magical! If you've meant to check out Poetry Soup all year and never had a chance, don't miss this one! Everyone is welcome.

Tuesday, May 27 Day 3
There will be a brief golf mtg. On Wed. The 28th right after school at 2:45 in rm 118 for sign ups. Current and prospective players need to attend.
***Sophomores and Juniors - IF you did not attend the Academic Awards Ceremony on May 7th, you may pick up your Silver or Bronze Key in the main office, tomorrow – NOT TODAY - WEDNESDAY, MAY 28 DURING YOUR LUNCH TIME ONLY.
1. No one is allowed to get the key for you - you need to pick it up yourself.
2. We will not be handing them out any other time throughout the day except during your lunch time.
3. We will have "one" other day for pickup, should you miss this one. After that, all keys will go back to the company for refund and recycling for next year's ceremony. Watch for a future email about the second pick-up day.

Hello Senior Parents,
Today, the administrative team, Officer McElroy and the class and graduation advisors ran a senior class assembly. Here is a link to the presentation: Senior Presentation .A primary objective for our meeting was to emphasize how the upcoming weeks will be a lot of fun for our soon to be graduates, and we want to make sure they stay safe and smart. As we head into their last day of formal classes, please continue to have conversations with your students around making smart decisions throughout the coming celebrations (in and outside of our school events).Here is a message from Marshall Simons reminding us of our responsibility to support a fun and safe experience for our students. - Graduation Car Parade Information - Each graduate will receive a gift, compliments from the NEF, during the parade. Also to add to the fun of the morning, the NEF Board of Directors will sponsor a Graduation Day Parking space for the most creative car decorations.
MAY 19-22: MANDATORY PARENT SENIOR WEEK SIGN-OFF + MEMORABILIA
For a senior to participate in senior week activities, parents/guardians need to sign-off that they have reviewed and received the senior expectations during senior week. This document makes parents aware of how seniors can lose the privilege of being at graduation if they violate any of the behavioral expectations*. When parents come to the school to sign this form, they will also pick-up their 3 Memorabilia Graduation Invitations.
*If obligations are still due when parents come in to sign the form, the obligations can be settled at this point.

Good morning! Come hear the chorus, orchestra, band, and Bobby's rock band on Tuesday night, at 7PM in our own auditorium. You'll see and hear your own friends, classmates, and perhaps your students presenting their best musical selves in the final staged concert of the year. Join the Newburyport High School Softball team on May 17th to help support runway for recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families affected by breast cancer, with a homerun derby at Pioneer Park. The high school division competes from 3:45 to 4:45. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. All are welcome and encouraged to attend." -

Hello clippers, our environment and health are in danger and we need your help. The environmental club is holding a poster competition for anyone interested, on the effect of micro plastics on our bodies. There is a total of $100 in prize money just for you. The Investment Club is now accepting applications for leadership roles for next year! Open positions include President, Vice President, Portfolio Group (one representative per grade), and Secretary/Social Media.
Interested students should prepare a short (30 seconds to 1 minute) presentation on why they’d be a good fit for their desired role. Presentations will take place tomorrow, Tuesday from 2:45 PM – 3:30 PM in the College and Career Center. If a student is unable to attend but still wants to be involved, they can reach out to Collin Fuller or Emerson McCormick for more details.
