Principal Communications 9-6-24
It has been great to have our students and staff back in school. Over the first 2 days, students met with each of their teachers, took school pictures, and participated in grade level assemblies. Overall, I was impressed by the energy of our students and I'm looking forward to upcoming activities that will be happening throughout the fall.
Below I have provided a link to school picture information as well as the student assembly presentation for your reference. A main theme for us here at NHS continues to focus on developing a "growth mind-set" and creating an environment that fosters a strong sense of belonging.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT will take place Thursday, September 19th. This will begin with a presentation in the auditorium at 5:30 PM by the high school administrative team, and starting at 6:00 PM, parents and guardians will follow their student’s schedules.
Here is a link to other upcoming events to have on your radar.
A care package drive for first responders and veterans will take place over the coming weeks in remembrance of the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. This is an opportunity for our community to support those who serve. Thank you to Priya Kaur for coordinating this drive.
The Newburyport All-Sports Boosters are looking for volunteers for the Snack Shack for the fall sports season. The Snack Shack will be open for home varsity football games, the ALS Cup soccer games, and the Play4theCure field hockey game. A minimum of 10 volunteers are needed for each game, and volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Please use this link to sign up.
Helping out in the Snack Shack is a great way to meet other NHS parents (former and present).
