NHS Principal Communications - June 12, 2024

It is hard to believe we are almost at the close of the school year. Having the opportunity to walk around the building, it has been impressive seeing the students preparing for their end of year exams, projects, and presentations. Please see below for some updates in the following areas:

  • End of Semester Schedule
  • Community Service
  • Good Luck - Girls Tennis and Girls Lacrosse
  • Summer Reading

Have a great night and Go Clippers!

The end of semester schedule will begin Thursday, June 13. Below is the schedule for the last four days of school. Buses will do normal pick-up each morning and see below for pick-up time.

Alongside finishing their academics, our students continue to be busy. This morning the building was abuzz with activity as several of our service organizations had meetings to continue their work into the summer. Between the Interact Club, Red Cross Club, and Leo's Club, we have over 200 students involved in a school sponsored service program.

Community service is a great way to support the local community, make new social connections, and earn high school credit. 75 hrs of logged service can be submitted for 2.5 credits.

Be sure to follow NHS Athletics on instagram for updates on our teams matches and games. Girls Tennis is currently playing now in Sharon and vying for a spot in the state finals this weekend. Girls Lacrosse competes tomorrow at Burlington High School in their state championship match. Best of luck to both teams.

Information for summer reading can be found on the library portion of our website. Students have learned about summer reading in their English classes and our 8th grade clippers will be coming to the high school this week to learn about the summer reading plan. As always, we encourage students to read beyond what is expected for the summer.
