NHS Principal Communications - February 1, 2024

Second semester is underway and teachers will be finalizing grades over the next few days. Final semester reports will be available in x2 in the coming weeks. Instructions will be sent on how to access these once they are ready.

It was great to see many families at last Thursday’s "Get College Ready Night." Note that we have formed a partnership with the College Guidance Network. This resource provides a roadmap and a variety of support for our families as you help your student through the College and Career planning/application process. This program happens in conjunction with the support provided by our guidance counselors and college and career center. Ultimately, the College Guidance Network functions like a college/career coach for families. To take advantage of this resource, please click here for details on how to register. You can also learn more about it on the College and Career Center portion of the high school's website.

In tonight's message, you will see information regarding:

  • Course Registration
  • School Council Update - Student Handbook Review
  • Upcoming College and Career Events
  • Global Scholars Program - Travel Exhibit - Collecting Photos
  • Congratulations and Shout-outs

Have a great night and Go Clippers!

COURSEREGISTRATIONFORNEXTSCHOOLYEAR
We will be starting the course registration process for next school year. Students participated in an information assembly yesterday. For core classes, teachers will input course recommendations for each of their respective students. All teachers over the coming weeks will also engage their students in conversations around the recommendations. From February 26 to March 8 the students will be able to access the course registration portal in x2 so they can select their elective options. During the month of March, the guidance counselors will meet with each of their students to review their course selections and verify the requests.
