NHS Principal Communications - June 27, 2023

Hello Clipper Families,

 

This is Andy Wulf Principal of Newburyport High School.  Everyone here at 241 High Street is excited to have you become a part of the high school community.  Although your students’ first day of school is 2 months away, I wanted to make you aware of some dates and information which will help your child’s transition to our school.

GR 9 AND NEW FAMILY ORIENTATION 

Orientation for families of Gr. 9 and students new to Newburyport High School will be on Wed, Aug 30 at 6:30 PM in the high school auditorium.  We encourage students to attend along with their parents/guardians.  During this meeting, participants will:

  • be introduced to all members of the administrative team,
  • meet our student ambassadors who are planning the orientation day, and
  • learn about the high school program and supports for the transition.

 

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION DAY:  

Orientation Day for Gr 9 and students new to Newburyport High School will be Wednesday, September 6.  This event is run by our upperclassmen Student Ambassadors and provides an opportunity for incoming students to meet new friends through team-building activities.  Students will also navigate their way around the school and take their school pictures. Details are still being finalized for orientation, but be sure to mark September 6th on your student’s calendar. 

 

 

GR 9 AND NEW FAMILY MORNING COFFEES:  

I will hold 2 morning coffees in August.  These drop-in sessions provide parents an opportunity to meet members of the school administration and ask questions pertaining to the start of the year.  The coffees will happen on Thursday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 29 between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.

Information regarding how to access schedules via Aspen X2 was forwarded last week.
