Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)

  • The Newburyport SEPAC facilitates collaboration between families, district staff, the School Committee, and the community in order to promote inclusion, understanding of, respect for, and support of all children with neurodiverse needs in our community.

Every public school district in Massachusetts is required to establish a SEPAC.

Massachusetts state regulations assign both an advisory and participatory function to SEPACs. A SEPAC is different from a PTA or PTO. It serves all families of children with neurodiverse needs from the entire school district.
