Anti-Bullying Policy

NPS is committed to providing a safe, positive and productive educational environment where students can achieve the highest academic standards. No student shall be subjected to harassment, intimidation, bullying, or cyber-bullying.

Each of our schools takes a multi-pronged approach to creating a welcoming school culture:

  • Ongoing community building (through a variety of programs, events, and classroom activities)
  • Shared behavioral expectations (as outlined in our school student-parent/guardian handbooks)
  • Procedures and policies (defined steps for intervention when young people make mistakes)
  • Anti-bullying curricula (lessons that are integrated into our advisory, homeroom & health classes)

If your child is experiencing social conflict or is the victim of bullying (see below for definitions), please do not hesitate to reach out to their teachers. Some situations can be easily resolved at the classroom level. For situations that are more serious, teachers may refer the issue to the building administration teams.
