The Newburyport Public Schools (NPS) are fortunate to have experienced registered nurses at each school who are happy to assist families and students with health and wellness concerns. Click here to find contact information about your nurse or nurses. School Nurses work in collaboration with teachers, counselors (adjustment and guidance), principals, and administration to ensure that health and safety are foremost in our students’ lives.
I am available to assist parents, families, and students with any school health concern. I have been in School Health for over 28 years and joined Newburyport in July of 2021. The Newburyport Public Schools are privileged to have the Comprehensive School Health Services Grant from the Department of Public Health whose goal is to enhance school health services. Working with students, teachers and staff in the Middle and High Schools and along with the Beacon Coalition NPS started the suicide prevention program, Signs of Suicide, for grades 7, 9, and 12 since 2015. We also administer the Substance Use Prevention Screen called SBIRT to all students in grades 7 and 9 just to name a few of our specialized programs and services.  Do not hesitate to call or email me if you think I can be of assistance.
