Dee Gough R.N. I will be on duty during the day to provide care and assistance for any accident, illness or injuries that occur during the course of the day. Accidents and injuries which occur at home and are not related to school arrival or departure should be evaluated and treated by your private physician or the hospital emergency room. In the event of illness or injury to your child where treatment other than first aid is required, I will attempt to notify you by telephone. If I am unable to reach you, I will call whomever you have designated on your child's health form. Depending on the severity of the problem, your family doctor or the school physician may be called in your absence or your child may be transported to the Emergency Room. All students participate in postural screening unless otherwise requested by you. In addition students in Grade 7 participate in hearing and vision screenings. If your child has a health condition, medication or a change in medication, please let me know. We can work together to assure that your child has the best school experience possible. Feel free to call me at any time.465-4450 or email dgough@newburyport.k12.ma.us |
