Did you know that 1418 tons of paper and cardboard was recycled in Newburyport in 2007?

Did you know that 661 tons of ‘commingled' items (glass, plastic, cans) were recycled in Newburyport in 2007?

This compares to 7537 tons of trash that went into landfill!

Our city is well-above the national recycling average of 32%, recycling almost 39% of total waste.

The mission of your Green Team is to embrace the ‘3 Rs' (REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE) of the city's ‘green' initiative thereby contributing to the Bresnahan School's Improvement Plan (see ‘About Us' on the main web page for details).
